Barn Door Hostel LLC — Terms and Conditions
 

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of lodging and campground services by Barn Door Hostel LLC, located at 30 Stone Hill Rd, Rumney, NH 03266 (“the Hostel”). By making a reservation or entering the property, you (“the Guest”) agree to comply with these Terms and any policies posted on-site or on the Hostel website.

 

Definitions: “Hostel” means Barn Door Hostel LLC, its staff, owners, and affiliated entities. “Guest” means any individual making use of the Hostel’s lodging, camping, or facilities. “Contract” refers to the agreement formed when the Hostel accepts a reservation. “Services” include the provision of lodging, camping, shared spaces, and other offerings provided by the Hostel. “Standard Charges” means the prices posted on the Hostel’s website or displayed on-site. “Schedule” refers to the cancellation and refund terms outlined herein.
 

  1. Reservations and Cancellations: Guests must check in before 10:00 PM EST. A $20 per bed late check-in fee applies for arrivals after 10:00 PM without prior notice. Same-day reservations will not be accepted after 10:00 PM EST. For refunds, 25 percent of the total booking amount is non-refundable. Sixty percent of the booking amount is refundable if cancelled at least 14 days prior to check-in. No refund is provided if cancelled within 72 hours of check-in. For holiday weekends (Thursday–Monday of Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and Columbus Day), the booking is 100 percent non-refundable. Groups of eight or more must reserve directly via info@barndoorhostel.com. A 50 percent non-refundable deposit and additional group conditions may apply.
     

  2. Guest Identification and Eligibility: At check-in, all guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. Guests whose primary residence is within Grafton, Carroll, Belknap, or Merrimack Counties must obtain advance approval from the Hostel prior to booking.
     

  3. Camping and Lodging Policies: Camping guests are not permitted to use any indoor facilities, including restrooms, kitchen, lounge, or bunk rooms. An outdoor shower is available for campground guests from May 1 to November 1. Bunks are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests who are age 65 or older, injured, disabled, or require CPAP machines may request a lower bunk in advance. To use a top bunk, guests must be at least four feet tall and weigh at least 80 pounds. The maximum length of stay is 14 consecutive nights unless advanced approval is given.
     

  4. Use of Property and Conduct: Guests are expected to maintain a clean environment. Dumpsters are provided for guest use, and all guests are responsible for cleaning up personal trash and animal waste. Fires are permitted only in designated fire pits, and unsafe use, such as placing trash or objects into the fire, will result in a $250 fine plus any additional damages. Alcohol is permitted for guests aged 21 and over. All alcohol must be labeled with the guest’s name and date, and unlabeled alcohol may be removed. Excessive intoxication or hard liquor use is prohibited. This is a drug-free property, and illegal substances are prohibited. Smoking is not permitted inside any buildings or within 100 feet of any structure. Tampering with or taking other guests’ belongings, including food and alcohol, is grounds for ejection and potential legal action. Any guest causing a disturbance may be held financially liable for compensation extended to other affected guests. A $275 cleanup fee may be charged for excessive mess. Damages to property will be assessed and charged based on replacement or repair costs. If the conduct of any guest negatively impacts the experience of another guest, the Hostel reserves the right to issue partial or full refunds to the affected party and charge the responsible guest for the equivalent amount, as well as any administrative fees or losses incurred.
     

  5. Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed in bunk rooms, except for service animals as defined by the ADA. Dogs are permitted only in private accommodations and the campground. There is a maximum of one dog per guest. Proof of vaccination and registration is required at check-in. Dogs must be leashed at all times and remain under control. If a pet causes any disruption or guest complaint, a $275 fee may be assessed and the pet may be removed from the premises.
     

  6. Liability and Assumption of Risk: Guests acknowledge that outdoor recreation, camping, climbing, bunk lodging, shared accommodations, and use of Hostel property involve inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, fire, wildlife, natural hazards, and unpredictable weather. Guests assume all responsibility for their own safety and the safety of any minors or animals under their care. Except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, the Hostel shall not be liable for injury, illness, theft, or damage to personal property. Guests are encouraged to carry travel and/or health insurance.
     

  7. Media Release: By entering Barn Door Hostel premises or participating in any event or public gathering, guests grant the Hostel permission to photograph or record their image and to use these media assets, without compensation, for marketing, promotional, or educational purposes via website, social media, print, and other formats. Guests who do not wish to appear in media must notify staff in writing upon check-in.
     

  8. Termination of Stay: The Hostel reserves the right to deny or refuse service to anyone for no reason and/or eject any guest without refund for violating any part of these Terms, endangering others, or creating a disruptive or unsafe environment.
     

  9. Amendments and Final Terms: These Terms may be amended at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking and/or stay will apply. By making a reservation or entering the property, the Guest confirms that they are at least 18 years of age and that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
